Princes Gate Christmas helpers support PATCH’s Christmas Toy appeal

For the second consecutive year, members of the Princes Gate team have supported PATCH (Pembrokeshire Action To Combat Hardship) with their Christmas Toy appeal, by picking and packing toy parcels. On the 2nd, 4th, and 9th of December, 21 team members worked diligently to prepare over 80 parcels for children aged 1 to 17 years. Irean was also featured on Pure West Radio, where she highlighted the remarkable efforts of PATCH and shared how you can contribute to their initiatives this Christmas season.

We also repurposed our redundant Wisecap boxes and put them to work, by using them to package up the gift parcels for delivery to their respective homes.

The toy parcels will be distributed to families in need across Pembrokeshire. On average, the PATCH Christmas toy appeal assists over 450 families by sending out approximately 1,700 individual parcels, ensuring that no child goes without this Christmas.

We are very excited to be a part of this fantastic collaboration with dairy co-operative First Milk!

We’re teaming up with up to 30 local dairy farmers in a 4-year project to improve soil health, increase water infiltration, and capture up toan additional 250 million litres of groundwater per year💧🐄

Through regenerative farming practices like rotational grazing and promoting grassland diversity, this initiative will help improve soil structure, support biodiversity, and improve water quality in the area, including in the Eastern and Western Cleddau river. 🌱✨

Daniel James of Gellyolau Farm says it best: “Healthy soils are the cornerstone of good farming and we’re keen to see what improvements can be made here that will help us farm more regeneratively and at the same time help to protect the river for future generations.” 💚

A great collaboration for regenerative farming, protecting water resources, and local environment. We’re delighted to be helping make a positive impact, together! 🌿
