📸 | We have just published our latest update from the Farm Management Team on Blankney.com...

We cover a few different topics in this edition, but front and centre is, once again, the impact that the hot and dry weather is having on the farm ☀

Confidence in our prospective yields for sugar beet and maize, both of which will be harvested in the coming months, is low 📉

And our ongoing forage harvest is also significantly impacted. Production is now effectively constrained to areas we can irrigate and even there, yields are coming under considerable pressure.

As always, we can only hope that some rain will eventually make its way to us, but with a forecast of 34 degrees for this coming Thursday, we think we will be disappointed a bit longer! 😫

Our cereal crops have been harvested for another year and we thank our operators for completing the job, once again, in a safe and timely manner 👏

Grass harvesting aside, we will soon be moving onto maize... 🌽
