Dog attacks on livestock 📣
This year we have seen a few cases of dog attacks on livestock, which can have fatal consequences
Please bear in mind that many public footpaths will go through land where sheep and lambs will be grazing. During lambing season sheep are at their most vulnerable as they can easily become stressed and may miscarry or abandon their lambs if chased.
Even the most well behaved dogs can chase or injured sheep if not kept under control, and under UK law owners are responsible for their dogs actions, as livestock worrying is a criminal offence
