WE’RE A FINALIST 😭🏆✨

Honestly, when we opened MiniBakes, we never imagined we’d be sitting here less than a year later sharing news like this.

We’ve officially been selected as a finalist for a Small Business Award, and we’re genuinely over the moon.

As a lot of you know, MiniBakes started with a crazy idea, a lot of cheesecake, and a hope that people in Newark would love it as much as we did. Seeing how much support we’ve received since opening has been incredible, and moments like this make all the early mornings, late nights and risks feel worth it.

Now we just have to wait until December to find out the result 🤞😭

Whatever happens, being recognised alongside so many amazing businesses already feels like a huge achievement.

Thank you for being part of this journey and for continuing to support all of our crazy ideas 🩷

I realised I’ve never properly introduced myself 😭🎀

Hi, I’m Olivia, the owner behind MiniBakes 👋

I’ve been making cheesecakes for over 6 years and always dreamed of creating something of my own. After moving to Newark and falling in love with the town, I decided to take the leap and bring something a little different, fun and pink to the high street 🩷

MiniBakes officially opened in August 2025 and it’s been the craziest and most rewarding journey ever.

One thing I don’t talk about enough is my husband. The truth is, MiniBakes genuinely wouldn’t exist without him. He was the reason I started making cheesecakes in the first place, and he’s been there through every idea, every stressful moment, every launch and every “I think I’ve got another business idea” conversation 😭

A lot of people see MiniBakes as mine, but the reality is that we’ve built it together, and I’m incredibly grateful for that 🤍

Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far. Whether you’ve visited once, come back every weekend, shared a post or told a friend about us, it genuinely means the world.
