for mo’fo’s!

We all have different tastes, so the 4some today were all of the same base burger:

Tuckerino: Double Bacon with smoked Lincolnshire poacher, topped with pickles, mustard and ketchup

: Double smoked Lincolnshire poacher with a succulent garlic mushroom and a slice of smoked bacon

J-Bird: single bacon cheese

Rubes: Plain Jane with a drizzle of ketchup.

There’s some homemade chips which had a coating of rub: paprika, chilli flakes, salt/pepper, garlic powder, onion powder.

Slaw was simple but juicy: apple, carrot and beetroot 😍😍.

Happy Sunday Dudes!

The most important meal of the day: . Each to their own, we all have our favourites, this is one of ours though. The simple bacon and egg cob 🥓🍳, brown sauce and a cup of tea.

This is by no means a difficult thing to make, I have had some shockers over the years though: greasy spoons who even manage to undercook toast. For those followers who aren’t necessarily cooks who have a bit of spare time today (even better if you’ve got kids and they’re a little restless) get yourself in the kitchen, pick a simple dish and have a bash. Take your time, put some love and care into it, you will be rewarded (hopefully not praying to the porcelain god).

📣Dudes!📣

If you find yourself out on your travels this weekend, and spit some lovely purple/blue berries on your way, you’re not far from having the best day of your life!

I scooped the kids up (as they have little nimble hands) and spent t he next 40 minutes collecting these little nuggets of gloriousness.. The Great British Sloe!

I collect from the same spot every year to make the following years but you can make it in around 6 weeks. Simple recipe 👇🏼

1lb sloe berries
1/2lb caster sugar
1L gin (I use bog standard rough stuff that will run a tractor - don’t use the good shizzle, keep that for your Nan!)

Bosh it in an airtight container, give it a good shake up, leave in a cool dark place. For the first 2 weeks give it a shake every other day just to mix the sugar up. Leave it for a further 4 weeks for a beautiful brew. If you’re a patient sole, the longer you leave it the better. I’ve got some in the garage currently at 3 years.

Enough here for about 6L of sloe gin 😍

DUDES!

Firstly, apologies all. Since coming back from the Isle Of Man TT (May into June) it’s been absolutely manic every weekend with weddings, parties, functions, bar mitzvah’s, with only an occasional 🍕 day where we’ve not actually advertised.

We’re going to be smashing it out in The Shed from 27th August.

The menu will change up slightly to include this little beauty: Nduja Think I’m Sexy.

Had a play about today and this little . Dough (whilst it’s only proved during the day, not the normal 24hrs) is running 70% hydration, drops of spicy nduja, echelon shallot, garlic, sweetie drop peppers, san marzano with a creamy mozarella top.

Menu should be up by Tuesday, but start booking your slots for next and let Tuckerinos feed the family.

That was a taste sensation tonight dudes.

Along with we’re working on changing up the mum and dad bods with the guidance of Code Fitness Newark] c

We do track everything, and normally at this time of night we would have a smaller meal, but the day has had a few twists and turns so found ourselves blasting this out if the park.

Code Fitness Newark] popped a post on about people perception of food compared to when you track it. It would be interesting to here peoples thoughts on how many calories with a protein / carb and fat split they think this meal is.. but, we know as we’ve tracked it, and we’re still within our daily limits.

It’s never too late to start a new chapter, whatever your level of experience with training / cooking is. Do your research, learn from the best.
