I’ve just finished harvesting and extracting the last of this year’s spring honey - 425kg of pure, golden goodness.

It’s been a tiring few weeks in the honey room, but seeing the buckets filled makes all the heavy lifting and long hours worth it.

Right after extraction, I returned all the empty boxes straight back to the hives. The bees are already hard at work cleaning up the leftover honey, making sure not a single drop goes to waste.

Now, we look ahead to the summer flow. The blackberry is flowering in the hedgerows surrounding our various apiaries, and the Lime (Linden) trees won't be far behind.

A lot of this fresh spring harvest is headed straight into our next production run to sweeten the sparkling cold-brewed teas, and I’m also setting some aside to be added to our gift packs for festivals and events around the UK. Good Food Show is next week!!

Speechless! We sold out! Thank you to everyone involved in making the Watercress Festival such an incredible event. Of course a massive thank you to all of my wonderful customers today. I had such fun. See you next year!

24 years at Verizon. One unforgettable chapter. It has been the backdrop to my life for over two decades, making it incredibly bittersweet to say goodbye to the colleagues and friends who have been such a huge part of my journey.

But it’s time for the next adventure.

It’s official: I’m leaving to go full-time on Black Bear, the brand I founded. Turning this passion into my sole focus is a dream come true.

To everyone who’s been part of the journey so far—thank you. Let’s do this!
