Floral, but not here to be delicate.

Clifton Royale is packed with lavender, elderberry, berry and a bit of warming spice.

Very good in a French 75. Even better when someone else is making it. Fancy giving it a go yourselves? See below🥂

45 ml Clifton Royale Gin
22.5 ml fresh lemon juice
22.5 ml simple syrup
top it up with dry Champagne or sparkling wine and add a slice of Lemon as garnish

I’ve got four Bristol Cocktail Weekend wristbands to give away...

Spirit of Bristol is the official Hub Sponsor and Festival Partner for Bristol Cocktail Weekend this year, so Alex and I will be at the Hub at Bambalan | Rooftop Bar & Mediterranean Bites 🌞🍹 Thursday 24th - Saturday 26th Sept.

Alex will be handing out the wristbands. I’ll be handing out samples of some proper Bristol serves and talking all things gin.

And because four wristbands is a bit excessive for one man, I’m giving the lot to one of you.

There’s always something worth discovering at the top of the stairs…

For Bristol Cocktail Weekend, follow them all the way to the Spirit of Bristol Distillery at Milk Thistle | Bristols Original Speakeasy, where our very own award-winning Pete Lumber will be waiting with the good stuff.

Start with a Ginocello before tasting Bemmie Dry and Clifton Royale Gin, each paired with a carefully selected tonic, as Pete talks you through the botanicals, techniques and Bristol inspiration behind every bottle.

Nice and easy this one. Equal measures of everything!

25ml Crème de Cacao Blanc
25ml Campari
25ml Clifton Royal Gin

Get the lot in with plenty of ice, give it a proper stir and there you go.

Some of you might remember we did a Valentine’s version of this a while back with a Rolo on top. Very romantic of us...

You can stick one on if you fancy. I won’t judge 😂

You’ve already seen us shake this one up. Now it’s your turn.

The Army & Navy. A proper classic.

First things first, get plenty of ice involved. It’s hot out there, mind, so we want this properly cold.

Fill your shaker with ice, then add:

22.5ml lemon juice
22.5ml orgeat syrup
60ml of our award-winning Harbourside Gin
2-3 dashes of Angostura bitters

Give it a good old shake, then strain into a chilled coupe.

Squeeze a bit of lemon rind over the top and bosh. There you have it.

That balloon on our bottle? She’s got a name. 🎈

Meet the Bristol Belle, Britain’s first modern hot-air balloon, built by Don Cameron and a few mates from Bristol Gliding Club who fancied having a go at making one themselves.

She first took to the skies in 1967. That little project went on to become Cameron Balloons and is now the world’s largest hot-air balloon manufacturer.

So naturally, we stuck her on the bottle.

A little bit of Bristol history with every pour. We’ll drink to that.

We hear the Harbourside’s not a bad place to be this evening… balloons in the sky, Spirit of Bristol gin in hand - it doesn’t get much more Bristol than that.

And the balloons are made round here too. Big up Cameron Balloons, sending a little bit of the city into skies all over the world. We’ll drink to that.
