We had a very enjoyable weekend at the Scottish National Alpaca Halter Show, there was a great atmosphere all weekend which ended with a huge tribute to our friends at Rivenherd Alpacas who retired on a high. Thank you to all the organisers who worked so incredibly hard & always make everyone welcome.

Travelling up to Scotland was a team of 14 Alpacas who came home with 9 First Places & 5 Second Places, 6 Colour Champions, 5 Reserve Colour Champions, Light Judges Choice Huacaya & 6 lovely handmade alpaca Trophies.

We made 4 changes to our team from last week & also added in Causin Mayhem now owned by Hilly Ridge Alpacas. We are absolutely thrilled May came home with a Light Championship Sash & Trophy we will proudly hand these awards over to Jo & Scott May’s new owners who selected her for their future herd plans.

It was a weekend to remember, a big thank you to the Scottish Alpaca Group for inviting us to be a part of your fabulous show & thanks to AOA Judge Wade Gease. Well done to all those who took part & congratulations to all the winners.

We are delighted to have welcomed home our Windsong Valley Firedragon grandson Acton Hill Kerubiel 🌟

Kezzie left us 4 years ago with the goal of breeding a next generation of Champions for our very good friends Shaun & Clara of Natterjack Alpacas. With his mission complete we are delighted our friends were happy for us to exercise our buyback option.

Kezzie is now back home running in our elite group of males alongside his sire Eringa Park Golden Age & his half brother Acton Hill Blazing Inferno 🔥

With the breeding season just around the corner & a new Firedragon 🔥 due to arrive this week we are busy making our mating plans & with a number of young boys deserving the opportunity of covers we have to consider releasing one or two of our junior herdsires.

With confirmed pregnancies for this summer AHL Noble Quest is a young male that deserves the opportunity to secure more covers. If you are looking for a new male for this breeding season Quest is a male who deserves consideration.

Not only is this male a great example of the breed standard he has incredible substance of bone with excellent fibre coverage. This multiple champion brown male also comes with a pedigree to match. His dam Fowberry Tudor Rose is a full FOW Nobility sister & his sire is a male we admire from our friends at Artwork alpacas the impressive Snowmass V.Voyager of ARW(Imp) Quest is also producing a very uniform fleece across the body with an excellent staple length & a high degree of density.

We had the most enjoyable weekend at the South of England Spring Live Alpaca Halter Show, there were smiles all weekend at this fantastic event. Thank you to Hilary & Tony of Pinnacle Alpacas who worked so incredibly hard with a great group of volunteers supporting. We had a fabulous time meeting with so many friends & making a few new friends along the way. A fantastic group of breeders creating a great buzz including a superb Saturday night social gathering.

We travelled down a team of 13 Alpacas coming home with 11 First Places & 2 Second Places, 4 Colour Champions, 3 Reserve Colour Champions, Best of British, Judges Choice & Supreme Champion Huacaya Sashes, 2 Trophies & Sires Progeny.

To top off an outstanding performance from the Show Team our incredible Herdsire El Capitan was awarded Sires Progeny Champion with his offspring AHL Capitana, Blazing Inferno & Girl on Fire representing progeny across 3 breeding seasons from 3 different dams. A fantastic achievement against a strong line up of 5 males. As the saying goes “Don’t worry, be Cappy”

It’s no secret we love our fawns 🧡 so whilst we breed across the colour range our goal has always been to breed the very best fawns.

We entered fleeces from two of our junior herdsires in the 2026 BAS National Champion of Champions Fleece Show in the hope our boys could compete with the very best champion fleeces in the country. At the grand unveiling ceremony during the BAS National Show our boys were awarded Fawn Huacaya Champion & Reserve Champion. Collecting their National Sashes is another fantastic achievement for our Fawn Breeding program & we are bursting with pride with this recognition for our Fawn boys.

We are incredibly proud to have received the Champion Medium Size Huacaya Breeder Award at the 2026 BAS National Alpaca Show.

We attended the 2026 BAS National Alpaca Show this weekend with 16 of our Huacaya Alpacas selected from the 65 Alpacas we have at our breeding farm in Staffordshire.

We are absolutely delighted with the consistency of our breeding program with all 16 of our team coming home with Rosettes at this highly competitive show. We are proud to share the news our herd received 6x Firsts, 2x Seconds, 3x Thirds, 2x Fourths, 3x Fifth places plus Reserve Champion Brown Male, Reserve Champion Fawn Female & Champion Light Female.

We are extremely proud our team combined scored the highest points for a medium size Huacaya herd receiving the award for Best Medium Size Huacaya Breeder for 2026.

In addition our herd also received Champion & Reserve Champion Fawn Huacaya in the National Champion of Champions Fleece Show.

Thank you to all of our fellow exhibitors, visitors & show organisers who played their part in making this an incredible celebration of British Alpacas.

Also congratulations to all the breeders we shared our alpacas with that attended the show, we appreciate your trust in selecting alpacas from our herd. We enjoyed seeing your successes & sharing in your celebrations.

El Capitan is the type of male every breeder deserves once in a lifetime, he has grown in to an impressive male who continues to have a huge impact on his offspring season after season.

We are delighted to share the news our incredible herdsire was once again in high demand recording the highest bid at the 2026 British Alpaca Society National Show Stud Auction.

In last year’s auction AHL El Capitan received a British record high bid of £3,050 but this year he’s surpassed his own benchmark raising a new British record of £5,000 for one stud service. (All funds raised go directly to the BAS National Show)

We are incredibly proud of our boy & we are extremely grateful to all the breeders who played their part in creating El Capitan with so many years of carefully planned breeding selections. His outstanding dam Bettina was paired with EP Cambridge Trail Blazer of AHH, with this combination Capitan brings together an incredible history of genetics including….
Windsong Valley Firedragon, Jolimont Warrior, Jolimont Conquistador, Purrumbette Highlander, Cambridge Navigator & EP Cambridge Peruvian Spartacus.

We are proud that he’s played his part in the fundraiser for our British National Show & we look forward to catching up with everyone at the show this weekend.
