Who says being over 50 means slowing down?!

Last night was one of those nights that reminds you to get dressed up, go out and HAVE FUN! 🥂

We headed to the stunning Lumley Castle to see Gabrielle and Marti Pello and what a night it was! ❤️

With VIP tickets, we were right in the middle of the atmosphere, singing, dancing and having an absolute ball!

And honestly, could there be a more beautiful setting than Lumley Castle? 🏰

More nights like this please… because life is far too short not to dance! ❤️

A night out turned into quite an event last night 🤣🫣. The heavens opened and it chucked it down! We were soaked through so we ventured into a local bar sopping as the stewards wouldn’t let us in to the open air concert due to thunder and lightening! However! It was three people deep and they had no w**e!!! What kind of pub has no w**e lol 😂 so we wandered to a trendy cocktail bar looking totally frazzled (not a great look but we were past caring at this point). Got served by a rude barman (that’s another story) and then the amazing stewards from the concert came in telling everyone the show was back on as it stopped raining! Hurrar! We dashed to the toilets and used the hand dryers to dry our clothes, so funny! Was like a laundrette in there. Eventually, we got to the concert and it was bloody brilliant! Sophie Ellis-Bexter was great and those legs! Human League were just as I remember and made us reminisce the 80s. Happy days! We have another to go to on Friday so watch this space … rain rain go away!!

Highly recommend this secret (well not so secret now) tearoom in Seaton Sluice. Dog friendly, quirky, great food and friendly staff. Couldn’t fault it. So if you’re off to the coast, give it a try.
