When we first saw Karen's piece, the winner of our The Big Draw, Drawn Together competition, we had no idea of the depth of the story behind it; it just spoke to us. Only later did we learn that the canvas itself was one she'd inherited from a friend who'd passed, and that the daffodils within it were painted in memory of another. Every part of it means something.

Hear it in Karen's own words, as she chatted with us about the piece, the memories behind it, and how it feels seeing it out on the road. From a simple sketch on paper, her artwork now turns heads wherever it goes, and features in our 2027 diary too.

How lovely is this? 🥹🧺

It made our day to read this piece about Lee in the York Press. A journalist just happened to be walking past when they spotted him knocking on Betty's door… she's 97 years young, and clearly knows exactly what she's after!

We're chuffed the story caught this side of us; it's a pretty perfect snapshot of what we do, day in, day out.

In a world of screens, scrolling and deliveries that arrive in a flash, it means a lot to us that a doorstep chat, a basket of treats and a good cuppa are still an important part of your weekly routine.

So with that said, it felt like a nice reminder to say thanks, Lee! And to all of our wonderful people who make us tick.
