An incredibly ‘ Happy Meal ‘ indeed .

Simultaneously sipping and scranning some of the best food and drinks I’ve had this year, while revelling in a gorgeous catch up with .pt 💅🏼🍸

📸 Last night - with banging snacks by .kitchen and delish paired cocktails by

- Lindisfarne Oyster with Ajo Blanco , Rhubarb and Chilli Oil
- Negroni and Fried Korean Rice Cakes with Gorgonzola and Kimchi dip
- Confit Duck and Baron Bigod Croquette with Burnt Honey, Chilli and Orange Ketchup
- Espresso Martini and Malted Chocolate Ganache
- Menu + Colouring Book

I braved the severe ‘Spring’ weather to collect another bundle of Wild Garlic leaves and some daffys …

The weather changed from sunshine, to wind, to rain, to hail in the short time I was out there, however all made worthwhile by this Wild garlic Mornay (cheese sauce) I made with my WG. Creamy cheddar sauce with that fresh spicy hit of garlic from the leaves.

I then layered this over fresh leeks and covered with rye breadcrumbs and more cheese. The result - a Leek and Wild Garlic Gratin

The perfect addition to any weekend dinner or an iconic trimming to a Sunday roast !

From Norf to Sarf and back to Norf 💅🏼

We took a little 6 months out to explore, cook, eat and drink our way through the capital and I’ll treasure every moment of it. I got my absolute dream job of getting to work at and meet some truly remarkable people and get to teach, share and grow.

Now I’m back in the North East and brimming with inspiration and excitement to be back in my bubble…

Snack ‘n’ Stitch – The Picky Bits Menu …

Remember legging it in from playing out, cheeks red, downing that cup of peach squash two-handed and diving face-first into a table of beige goodness?

Yeah… we’re bringing that energy back. ✨

Next Friday ( Friday 29th August ) we’ll be serving up ALL the nostalgic joy with this picky bits menu – think party rings, scotch eggs, crispy potato smileys and ketchup on everything - but with a grown up spin.

It’s giving: finger licking goodies and crafting with and your mates. 💖🧶

A dreamy evening of picky bits, stitching cute af banners & chit chatting round the table - right in the heart of the Ouseburn Valley.

Join us for an evening of embroidery mini banner making and tuck into a picky tea, and bar will be open to buy drinks all evening.

All food, banner materials, as well as your first drink is included in your ticket - further drinks available from the Cumby bar.
