On Wednesday the 26th November we will have the lovely Tracy from the Ellis lake foundation in store, we will be supporting Tracy to raise awareness for this fantastic, heart warming charity. There will be Christmas food samples, coffee tasting, and christmas colouring in for the kids in store 🎅🏻
Tracy reached out to me to help spread the word into the local community about her charity set up after her son Ellis’ diagnosis, and we are so honoured to be able to help in any way we can.
Tracy dedicates so much of her own time alongside her own family life to making hygiene packs up to distribute out to local hospitals, for parents who find them self in hospital with sometimes little or no access, or no one to bring in those simple things needed when staying in hospital unexpectedly. A truly heart warming,kind and selfless thing to do for others in need.

Below is a statement from the lovely Tracy about her Son Ellis’s diagnosis, and just look at that huge smile from the amazing Ellis himself 🥰♥️

“Ellis was diagnosed with metachromatic Leukodystrophy in October 22 after we noticed a persistent decline in his walking and balance. It is a rare genetic disorder effecting the white matter in the brain. Ellis had gene therapy in January 2023 to stop the progression of the disease, and we set up the charity during Ellis’s treatment after discovering a basic need for hygiene products for parents who may find themselves in hospital unexpectedly. We also have been providing sanitary packs for teenage girls following feedback from one of our hospitals, and we deliver these to a number of local hospitals. ”

Our pawsome visitor Fender enjoyed his pup cup today, our supervisor Kate is a sucker for a pooch and she loved spending time with Fender this morning giving him his pup cup 🐾♥️

Although unfortunately we do not allow dogs inside our cafe. The staff will make sure our doggie visitors get a nice treat, pup cups always available and there is seating outside for our dog walking customers 🥰
