Here at Powters we're serious about sausages! We've worked tirelessly since 1881 to develop what we really believe to be the best sausage out there. Beginning in our Newmarket shop in 1881 we now supply a range of supermarkets and independents as well as chefs and restaurants. We're passionate about honest, quality, British gourmet sausages. All our sausages are made using hand selected free range

pork, no by products, no artificial skins. As farmers, butchers and artisan sausage makers we know a thing or two about them and about our meat - the way it is reared and importantly, where it has come from. We're now in our 5th generation, a family business with a passion for our produce. We produce an exciting range of sausages (both traditional loose and pre packs) Including our PGI (protected food name) 'Newmarket Pig' Sausage. We've been inundated with messages, so here's the answer: sadly, Waitrose decided this Summer not to continue stocking many smaller 'regional' suppliers — and after a lot of happy years, our sausages were among them 😢😢😢

Nothing's changed about what we make or how we make it. We've been at it since 1881, and we're not going anywhere.

If you miss us on their shelves, do let Waitrose know — customer requests genuinely make a difference to what gets stocked. And in the meantime, you can find us here:
