Hello guys,

It’s Charlie here, I’m sorry I haven’t been responsive but the sudden closure really hit me, what I can only describe as a grief type of feeling. We have worked tirelessly to create Sweet Charlie’s and building a team. My biggest fear in setting up a business was the responsibility of having peoples livelihoods in my hands. It’s taken all this time to establish a core team. And telling the team that we had no choice but to hit the pause button and see what measures were needed to save Sweet Charlie’s. It broke my heart and it’s one of the hardest things I’ve personally faced.

This for us is a temporary closure and we hope to open as soon as possible. But we have serious decisions that need need making. Like moving premises as well as other options.

For the time being gift cards will automatically be extended for 6 months. Or can in the meantime can be redeemed against Gift bouquets. (Please message the page if this interests you)

ANNOUNCEMENT

Sweet Charlie’s will be temporarily closed from today onwards while we reevaluate the business and properly assess our financial position.

We have decided to do this suddenly so that we still have the potential opportunity to re establish ourselves in the future.

We are trying to contact all bookings, so please contact us if we haven’t managed to get hold of you personally.

It’s been a truly hard decision to make but it has to be done.

Thanks to everybody for your support and we hope we have brought lots of happiness and smiles to many of you over the time that we’ve been open

The power of £1 🪙

I know there has been an awful lot of negative and some really encouraging messages and comments/suggestions on Facebook at this present time.

Please believe we are busy in the background to see how we can maximise our income per square footage or relocate and downsize, meal deals and all sorts.

I apologise for the lack of communication to the comments but at this present time. I need to remain strong and fight for what I see as an asset to the community.

My intentions were never for some to donate a large amount of money but more in the mindset of 30000 paying £1 if they could or would like to.

The crowdfunder set up is an all or nothing cause. Meaning if we don’t raise the funds needed all pledges, donations will be returned.

If you are able to and would like to see Sweet Charlie’s then please pop in, have lunch or a coffee here. Take advantage of our free soft play sessions.

I appreciate everyone that has visited us and shown support from regulars and new faces

As you may have read we are facing huge challenges at this present time.
