After 6 years of managing this lovely shop, it is time for me to leave. I can’t thank you all enough for all the happy times and many chats. So many friends have been made while working here 😊 I will still make the odd appearance to help out, but for now I will be focusing on other projects and devoting more time to my foraging business Kernow Foraging.& Feast. It has been a pleasure to cook for you.

We currently have tinned banana blossoms in the shop. They have a great flakey texture and a neutral taste that absorb flavours beautifully. I was introduced to them whole in tempura batter, nom, but there are a whole range of recipes and ideas online for you to play with.

To prep: Drain, rinse, and pat dry. They are then ready to flavour.

Try them in coconut curry, or shredded and marinated in lime, tamari, a little sugar and chopped chilli, served with noodles; or add your favourite BBQ marinade as they work really well on the BBQ too.

We appreciate your patience at the moment. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Helena is currently unable to work, and Graham is managing the shop on his own. As a result, our deli is operating on a limited basis, and there may be more queuing than usual.
Graham will be putting on an early bake for pasties only, so unfortunately no orders can be taken during the day.
