Slacking with the posts but had to hop on and share this one!

Las Iguanas have a Bottomless Tapas offer on until the 13th Feb where it is £15 each for an hour and a half of bottomless tapas! (Usually £25)

There was 5 of us, when the final bill came out we had saved £221 from the offer. Superb value for money! The portions were good and they came out really quick.

Only issue is the jalapeno poppers taste like a deep fried swimming pool, can't explain it.

It's been a while!!

Chelston Manor - Torquay 9/10

Mezze Platter – Harissa Spiced Houmous, Stuffed Vine Leaves, Red Peppers filled with Feta,
Wild Garlic & Basil Olives, Olive Oil & Balsamic Vinegar Dip, Warm Ciabatta

Prawn Puttanesca Spaghetti £ 17.45
Pan Fried Tiger Prawns in a Tomato, Chilli, Olive, Anchovies, Capers & Parsley Sauce
served with Spaghetti, Rocket, Herb Oil & a Parmesan Crisp

Halloumi Burger £15.95
Seared Halloumi with Herbs, Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, Chilli Jam

Mezze platter... OMG delicious !! The hummus was clearly homemade, nice and oily and rich and flavoursome. Olive oil and Balsamic Vinegar is a combo better than any, not much else needs to be said. We are unsure what was in the vine leaves but tasted absolutely delicious, I'd hazard a guess at rice?? Everything tasted incredible, the only thing I would change would be to stick a few more slices of bread on there but that's only because I'm a greedy gannet!

Prawny pasta .. prawns HUGE thick juicy bois!! The sauce was spicy, sweet, salty, tomatoey and just perfection. It's not very often I order a pasta dish when I'm out but boy I'm glad that I did! Parmesan crisp was a nice touch and made me feel a bit fancy, all round banging dish. Fishy and salty, the keys to my heart.

Halloumi burg... Halloumi nicely crispy, still squawking between your teeth like a beaten up seagull but that's just a halloumi trait. Chilli Jam spicy and tantalizing. The crisps, as you can see from the photo were cream worthy !! Crispy, salty, soft on the inside, A+

Nice crisp cold pints of Madri in the sunny beer garden, lovely atmosphere!!

Will certainly be returning 🤞🏼🐷

Twelve Twenty 9/10

A hearty meal for a Sunday!!

I opted for the 3 small plates for £17 which is amazing value for money when you look at the quality and the quantity of what's delivered to your table

Stir fry steak, really good quality bit of beef and perfectly cooked. Peppers underneath were a lovely addition and a big fan of balsamic glaze

Fried Chicken Loaded Fries, off the menu come with BBQ but unfortunately I'm not a fan, so asked to swap it out and the helpful waitress offered a Sriracha mayo and I was all over that. Chips were banging, the fried chicken on top was a highlight for me. Crispy, peppery sexy goodness

Belly Pork Taco, delicious delicious delicious, the pictures do not do it justice at all. Pork was so fatty, and juicy and wet, just like your Nan after Wednesday night at the bingo.

Roast Beef, potatoes were crispy but soft inside. Not sure what wizardry they played with the carrots because they were phenomenal! Portion size was enormous, my mrs usually demolishes a roast and even she needed a bit of support to get the last bits down. Yorkie pud was definitely home made, fluffier than the clouds that float above us.

All in all, top bit of grub! Was driving today however will arrange to go back via taxi to sample the cocktail menu as it looks delicious 👌🏼👌🏼

Lack of posts due to trying to get my heap of a body summer ready

Here's photos from a cheat meal for Valentine's. Devon Dumpling in Torquay. 2 courses for £23.95 (Valentine's day deal but still banging price)

Starter was a sharer, Cod Croquettes, Spicy Meatballs, Salt and Chilli Squid, Brie Wedges, Sticky Belly Pork Bites, Flatbread and a springing of side salad. Insane in the membrane to say the least

Main was quite obviously a steak, with actually the best peppercorn sauce I've ever eaten. Cba to waffle on as I'm currently starving and wasting away but deffo recommend a visit 👌🏼

The pizza choices on the menu were really good, I had the Diavola. (mozzarella, jalapeño peppers, spicy ‘nduja sausage, mixed bell peppers, chorizo, chilli oil) It tasted really good, and has some great toppings! Structurally, the pizza was a little weak. As you picked up a slice, the toppings slid down the base faster than your Mum's knickers in Bar 7 ... However, the flavours easily made up for this. I believe the structural issues came from the softness of the dough, it was fluffy on the crust, and thin on the base. A real strong point although it caused a flaccid pizza.

My accomplice had the Pepperoni pizza (not very adventurous) but as an avid Otto gobbler, she knew what she wanted. I had a taste of the pepperoni, it was salty, sweet and crispy just as it should be.

We also ordered the Garlic Aioli and Pesto Sauce. Both were incredible, couldn't tell you if they were homemade but they certainly tasted it!! Really strong garlic flavours in the Aioli, and also in my farts later that evening, well worth it though (not sure the Mrs agrees)

One thing I was a little hurt and upset by, was the fact there was no fries on the menu?? Like I get it, authentic pizza menu, with some nice sounding side salads but being the fat piggy wa**er I am, I would have smashed some salty chips to dip in my chilli oil.

Both pizzas, sauces and 2x beers came to £44 so not bad for a cheeky date night or catch up with a pal.

Viva Torquay food scores 10/10, however the entire experience is 100/10

To start with the grub, we had the following ...

Honey Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese £8
Shrimp Bao Buns £11
Mac & Cheese topped fries £7
Brisket Burnt Ends £8
Halloumi Fries £6.50
Mozzarella Sticks £8

The chicken Mac and cheese was damn right outstanding, the mac was superbly cheesey, the buffalo chicken was crispy, tender, and sweet. The spicy and the cheesy flavors were bouncing off each other just like Mr Glitter off the back of a young boy.

Shrimp Bao, was without doubt one of the best things I've put in my mouth, (and I've had all sorts.) Shrimp was seasoned so nicely with a delicate yet sexual crumb. The bun was soft and the slaw was tantalizing.

Burnt ends were stunning too, fatty and meaty, just like my Mrs. Absolutely banging! As a le***an this was the best meat I've had in a long while.

Various cheese sticks were as you can imagine, salty and crispy on the outside with squeaky goodness inside the halloumi and creamy stringy heaven in the moz.

All really reasonably priced, service was great and the vibe inside is top notch. As you go up the stairs, this is where all the fun stuff comes. They have karaoke booths, pool, interactive darts, table tennis, axe throwing and loads of other fun bits n bobs.

Highly recommend visiting here, whether it's for a chilled lunch or a boozy evening, it's got it all going onnnnn

Oh and the best part is in the ladies toilets.. if you know you know
