Introducing our NEW Cranberry & Orange Festive Scones, launching 1st September 2026.

A delicious combination of dried cranberries, mixed peel and fresh orange zest, with warming seasonal spices, these scones bring a little taste of the festive season to the Truly Treats range.

👋 A Day in the Life: Lawrence, Head of Operations

People often ask what a Head of Operations actually does...

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿? 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴.

Some days I'm reviewing forecasts, labour planning and budgets. Other days I'm developing new products, meeting customers, working on continuous improvement, or making sure our food safety and quality standards are exactly where they need to be.

Then there are days like this... 🚜

Driving the forklift, unloading deliveries, moving ingredients, helping production, supporting dispatch, solving problems and keeping everything flowing so our customers receive the quality they expect.

Leadership isn't about having the cleanest shoes or spending all day behind a desk. It's about understanding every part of the operation, supporting your team and never asking someone to do a job you're not willing to do yourself.

I'm incredibly proud of what we're building at Truly Treats. Every box of cakes, traybakes and scones that leaves our bakery is the result of a fantastic team pulling together, with everyone playing their part. 💙

Meet Alex, one of our evening scone bakers here at Truly Treats 💛. He joined us just over five months ago, so we thought it was time to get to know a little more about him!

💬 What made you want to join the Truly Treats team?

“I wanted to work with Truly Treats to be part of a local team that I could grow with and be proud to work for.”

💬 What’s your favourite part of working the evening shift?

“My favourite thing about working the evening shift is the freedom it gives me, as well as having the weekend off every week. Coming from hospitality as a chef, this is a very rare circumstance for me!”

💬 If you could create a brand-new scone flavour for Truly Treats, what would it be?

“If I could create any scone for Truly Treats, it would be a Stollen Scone for Christmas time – nuts, fruits and marzipan, dusted with icing sugar.” 🎄
