🌿 Stay Cosy in The Hen’s Dens at Orchard Organic Farm 🌿

The Hen’s Dens are timber tent camping and glamping pods at Orchard Organic Farm, designed to offer a spacious and flexible stay in the countryside. 🌾

Each of the three Dens measures approximately 6m x 3m and is fully insulated, with an electric oil-filled radiator to keep things warm and comfortable. 🔥

Inside, guests will find lighting, an electric socket with a USB charging point, and double-glazed windows and doors with blinds or curtains for added comfort and privacy. 💡

Outside, each Den comes with its own six-seater picnic bench, perfect for relaxed meals and enjoying the fresh farm air. 🧺

To celebrate the Autumn Equinox, we are sharing this beautiful photo of last year’s Harvest Moon (the full moon closest to the autumn equinox), captured at Eype Beach by James Loveridge. 🌕 🍂

This year, the harvest moon will happen on the 6-7 October, so keep an eye skywards at sunset for the spectacular sight of the full moon rising – weather permitting.

🌿 Did you know? Berry Head isn’t just a National Nature Reserve – it’s also recognised as a Special Area of Conservation (SAC).

That’s because of its calcareous limestone grasslands – a rare habitat type covering just 0.2% of the UK’s land. These grasslands are packed with wildflowers, herbs, and grasses that, in turn, support an incredible diversity of insects and other wildlife.

From delicate orchids to buzzing pollinators, Berry Head’s limestone slopes are alive with species you won’t find just anywhere. It’s one of the many reasons we work so hard to protect this extraordinary headland, ensuring that both nature and people can continue to enjoy it for generations to come. 🌸🦋
