Hop soup?
We’re big fans of traditional brewing methods, so we often use a hop back for our pale ales. We filter hot wort through full cone leaf hops to extract all the fragrant oils that we can 🙂
This mix of bright euro hops are being used for an upcoming Belgian-style pale ale

Another yeast forward IPA? It's another in our ongoing series of 'nicely made examples of commercially unpopular beer styles', meet our new farmhouse IPA 'STYLISH'

This strategy as "either incredibly brave or hilariously out of touch" 🤷. Anyway, we like it, and it's available both on its own and as part of our IPA megapack

A Belgian-style IPA, brewed with caramelised malts, and fermented in steel with Brett. bruxellensis. Dry hopped with Amarillo, Nelson Sauvin and Topaz.
St Clements, farmhouse, lychee 🍊

Mild is like a vintage corduroy jacket: technically excellent, deeply comfortable, and chronically overlooked.

In our continuing series ‘nicely made examples of commercially unpopular beer styles’ we present 'DISTANT DREAM'.

Soft and drinkable dark mild. A rounded and nutty blend of dark malts, subtle fruit and a hint of spice from our house yeast, balanced by delicate earthy Saaz and Goldings hops. Gentle roast, cocoa, toast ❊

Available now on our webshop, and to trade

Where stainless steel tanks are tidy and predictable, fermenting in wood is messy, labour-intensive and capricious

The frothing krausen from this Bordeaux barrel fermented saison means another day of mopping, and reevaluating my choices in life 🙃

In the latest of our ongoing series, ‘nicely made examples of commercially unpopular beer styles’, may we present CHERISH - a Belgian IPA

Is it a bit niche? Yes. But does it taste like marmalade on toast? Also yes!

Malty marmalade sweetness and old school bitterness. Brewed with Belgian pilsner malt, traditional Belgian yeast and a hefty amount of Amarillo, Centennial and Cascade

Most breweries are defined by stainless steel tanks and shiny kettles. But if we’re being honest, the actual heart of our operation is right here. This stack of used wine barrels is where our best (and worst) ideas go to hide for years on end.

We lean heavily on used Bordeaux barrels, which bring a beautiful mild funk with them from their previous life, but we also have Tempranillo, Sherry and Bourbon barrels as part of the stable.
