Dutch Spotted Sheep have been around since the 1800s in Europe and introduced fairly recently to the UK where they have hit the market by storm. With fantastic qualities and desirable traits that fit a commercial market, the Dutch Spotted flock numbers have soared and are readily used as terminal sires.

Speaking to breeder Robbie Alman-Wilson why she chose to keep Dutch Spotted Sheep – “We saw them at a show and I instantly said what a lovely looking sheep, I’d like to get a couple of those. We turn the ewe lambs out onto our Welsh hill grazing and get them back as shearlings well grown and fleshed. The spotties are such a lovely breed to handle, incredibly quiet and nice natured, they have a super carcass with high growth rates, have fantastic feet and are milky tremendous mothers."
