We had a bit of a whirlwind day heading to The Royal Cheshire Show. A big well done to all the exhibitors on a super display of blondes as it was the breeds National Show.
I only got a few photos - this one of the tremendous junior heifer class.
Congratulations to the Shenton Family with their senior heifer a very worthy Champion and Whitepeak British Blondes with Reserve.
Thank you for the hospitality and welcome from everyone.

Well done to Stonebridge Farm team for putting on a super livestock display, entertainment and selection of food over the weekend. A fantastic visit for the boys.

We had a great day out at Armagh County Show yesterday. Weather held up for a change so we even soaped Alison and Angus.
We came away with first in the junior heifer, junior bull and pairs classes. Kacey also winning the Blonde senior handler class.
Wasn't the same without out Master Matty keeping us right (in our food choices) but a great day out. Thanks to Geoffrey Rodgers for the expert and efficient judging and all the show stewards. As always great photos from Bo.

Looking forward to Saintfield Show on Saturday.

The Ballygowan Blonde team had a great day at Lurgan Show yesterday. Alison and Angus winning Champion & Reserve. Kacey and Matthew followed suit in the senior and junior young handlers.
Well done and thanks to our judge Jack Hunter, show stewards and volunteers. As always a special thanks to Bo for the fantastic photos and to commentator McQuisten who keeps us all right and always full of enthusiasm. Well done to you all.

Hopefully on to a sunny Armagh County Show next week!

The rain did not dampen Mattys spirits yesterday at Ballymena Show. We took out Alison and Angus, both sired by Titan. The Blondes were shown along with Blues and Sims in mixed classes.
Matty was first up in the 8-11 young handlers. With a class of 15 excellent entries, it was quite the job to place them all. Matty and Angus were delighted to be awarded third place.
Angus held his own coming 3rd in the junior bull class and behaving very well for his first summer show. Alison (my favourite) won her class against strong Blue heifers and was awarded Reserve any other breed. Well done to Hiltonstown with a lovely Simmental bull.
Alison was then tapped out as Reserve Junior Interbreed Champion. Well done to all exhibitors and thanks to judges George Nelson and Gary Henderson along with all the show stewards. Also, Bo Davidson for taking the super photos of Matty and Angus. Matty was a great help throughout the show and thanks to Odhrán O'Neill and Sharon of Corrick Blondes for the fun and laughs throughout the morning.

Dernasigh Tiger Lily claims Blonde Championship at Balmoral
