Shearing Farm Visit - only 3 visits available for the rest of the year. Please book now. We are running the shearing visits until 10th July so still time to book. Free visit for organisations and schools such as scouts, guides, women’s institute etc.
Every weekday day or evening from 26th May to 10th July. Please contact us to book a visit.
A farm walk on a real working family farm around the fields looking at the animals, flora and fauna as well as a shearing demonstration, looking at wool and a chance to spin wool. Explaining why and how we shear the sheep, what we can use wool for and where all our wool goes.
Risk assessment before every visit. Qualified childcare assistant on hand during the visit. Hand washing and restroom facilities.

We are just over 6 months away from the end of treatment date. It’s a count down to the end of the chemotherapy medication. It’s exciting as well as terrifying. The worry of relapse, the bad experiences causing doubt as well as being grateful Gabriel has got this far and being happy and thankful the chemotherapy will end. We still have a long way to go and the worry doesn’t just end when the treatment ends. Gabriel is a very strong and determined 5 year old. He is really enjoying playing with all his animals on the farm again this spring after being so unwell for a long time.

The children have taught themselves how to knit and have knitted the chicks some blankets. How fun! They are so clever 😀

Some very small and very loved new arrivals.
The shop is open 8am-8pm tomorrow. Sausages and pork still 3 for 2 until it has all sold out and beef joint reduced, all in preparation to make more room in the freezer for our next batch of beef and pork in July. Lots of new stock on the shelves after a delivery on Tuesday.

3 for 2 offer on our sausages 3 for 2 on our delicious pork including pork belly, pork chops, shoulder and leg joints as well trotters and kidneys. I have also put a 15% reduction on our organic beef topside joints, which are delicious even served with new potatoes and salads for this time of year. We will have more organic 100% grass fed beef available in July. As I replied to a customers comment over the weekend, the reason most of our meat is frozen is because it is all our own meat which means we have to freeze it to store it because we are a small farm shop. Meat has been preserved by freezing it for thousands of years and it is all freshly cut when frozen. It adds authenticity to the product and traceability. You can trust the meat has come directly from your local farm and grazed on land in your local area. We are red tractor farm assured and organic certified.
