🇬🇧 WHY SHOP LOCAL? WHY SUPPORT BRITISH PRODUCE? 🇬🇧

The recent Salmonella outbreak is a timely reminder of just how important it is to know where your food comes from.

Health officials investigating the outbreak have said that eggs currently provide the strongest clue, with genetic testing showing similarities to a previous outbreak involving imported eggs.

Importantly, the UKHSA has stated that at this time there is no identified link to UK-produced eggs or poultry.

British egg production has strict controls in place, including vaccination against Salmonella, regular testing and traceability.

🥚 And here at Dann’s, we know exactly where our eggs come from!

All our eggs are British, free-range and organic, produced by our own hens.

In the Farm Shop at the moment we have:
🥚 Brown eggs
🥚 Jumbo eggs
🥚 Trays of pullet eggs for just £1.25 a tray!

And despite their tiny size, we've even had reports of a few double-yolkers hiding amongst the pullet eggs! 👀🍳

As you know, we’re only a tiny farm shop, and we really appreciate everyone who pops in and supports us.

One of the challenges of being a small shop is that some days are busy and some days are quieter, so we have to be careful about what we stock. Wherever possible, we need to choose products with a longer shelf life to help us keep waste to a minimum.

So, we need YOUR ideas! 👇
