1st of January and the first brew of 2016 is lurking in the fermenter ! Will hopefully be quite a hoppy English Mild...and be ready just in time for the second (and last) day of Summer !!

Interesting couple of days....moved into all grain 1 gallon batches....first up was an old Egyptian recipe with juniper and coriander being involved! Next up was a 'Colonial Ale'...fairly smoky and slightly coffeeish...and soon to be alcoholic as well :-)

1 gallon of white wine and 5 gallons of Cerveza on the go...and now the waiting starts... :-)

Just sipping a half of 'Kiss of the Knout' Bourbon Vanilla Imperial Stout...approx 18 months in the bottle and it's absolutely incredible! Very smooth and very tasty...and rather strong... :-)

It's brew day...oh yes...Chocolate Stout it is...should be perfect by the time Winter kicks in again...in about 7 days...

Finally got the IPA into bottles...and got 1kg of biltong on the go...good times...well, good times in a week for the biltong and about 8 weeks for the APA... :-)

Happy to announce that the North Weald Lifeboat Crew managed to win the Thornwood Village Hall quiz on Friday night....fuelled by Lager, Pilsner, Imperial Stout, Belgian Abbey Ale and Porter from Level Best Breweries :-)

Well, yesterday was a long day of rugby watching....with a small break in the middle of the day to bottle 20 litres of American Pale Ale...tastes good already...have got high hopes for this one :-)
