Deborah Nisbet and team are hosting their Summer Good Food Farmers Market at Cuddington Manor Farm.

Come along and join us for a ā€˜fabulous foray into food’ and pick up some delicious treats!

It’s on the 27th June from 11am til 3pm and Ravensfield Preserves will be there with a variety of summer BBQ sauces, fresh lemon curd, delicious chive and garlic butter and the newest bestseller; Holy Crap! That’s Hot Sauce, as well as plenty of pickles and chutneys for those lazy summer picnics šŸ¤žšŸ» 🧺

We’ve had a busy weekend in the kitchen making sure we have plenty of delicious preserves available for next month when we’ll be popping up at a couple of fairs/markets.

I promised a copy of the recipe for Cowboy Candy to a gentleman I met at the Cheshire Smallholders Association meeting last month and had completely forgotten until this weekend whilst making a new batch.

Well, this is a departure from the normal ā€˜preserving’ we do.

Following a meeting with Stephne Douglas (from Norley), i which she chatted enthusiastically about ā€˜ferments’, I thought I’d give it a try.

And it’s a winner!!

Cabbage, pineapple, ginger and turmeric, fermented for 6 days before popping in the fridge.

It’s delicious!! And good for the gut!
