If you haven’t tried a no-dig bed yet, this is your sign to give it a go 🌱

A few months ago I laid cardboard straight over the stony ground and had a load of soil delivered completely FREE 🙌

There was a slight catch… I did have to pick an entire broken-up bathroom suite out of it 🤣🚽 But free is free.

Fast forward a few months and I honestly can’t believe the difference. The soil is absolutely gorgeous. Full of worms and insects, really easy to work and the weeds were coming out an absolute treat.

Even the dock roots were weirdly satisfying when I managed to pull a massive ones out whole 😂

A bit more clearing to do over the weekend and then this is going to become our Cerinthe bed 🌸

Mainly because we’ve discovered the rabbits don’t eat it.

So apparently our new planting strategy is:

1. Will it grow here?
2. Will the rabbits leave it alone?

That’s about as scientific as we’re getting 🤣🐰

New charity shop coat getting its first outing on the flower farm today ☔️🌸

Bought to keep me dry in this weather.

Unfortunately, after reviewing the selfies, I appear to have accidentally joined The Handmaid’s Tale. 🙈🤣

Blessed be the fruit… and apparently the flowers. 🌸😂

We thought it was probably about time we actually introduced ourselves properly 🤣

We’re sisters Charlotte & Becky, the faces behind Springbank Grow Club.

By day, I run a convenience store and Becky works freelance in TV… and somewhere in amongst jobs, children, houses and general life chaos, we decided growing a field full of flowers would be a brilliant idea 🤣🌸

We’re learning as we go, growing more every year and slowly turning our little patch into something we’re really proud of.

There are lots of plans bubbling away for Springbank and we’d absolutely love you to follow along and see where we take it.

A customer sent us this photo of her flowers arranged at home and I think she’s done such a lovely job! 😍

It’s always so nice seeing flowers we’ve grown and picked looking completely different once someone puts their own touch on them.

I absolutely love how no two bunches ever turn out the same — you just work with whatever is looking beautiful that day.

IT RAINED!!! 🌧️🙌

After weeks of emptying our water butts and staring at the sky hoping for rain… it finally happened! 🤣

And even better, there’s more forecast over the next 10 days 🙏

The flowers are happy, the ground is getting a proper drink and hopefully those empty water butts will finally start filling back up again! 🌸🌻

Never thought we’d be this excited about rain 😂🌧️
