Have you tried Roost yet?

Our latest pop-up kitchen is all about rotisserie chicken: Gressingham free-range, corn-fed birds, cooked fresh every day on the rotisserie.

And then there are the potatoes. They’re new potatoes cooked in the juices that drip down from the chickens as they turn. Order a side of them and see for yourself.

Get a whole or half bird with house-made sauces, or go for wraps and wings, with plenty of sides.

Saxophonist Gilad Atzmon brings his trio for an evening built around the classic jazz organ trio sound. It sticks close to the tradition but still feels fresh.

Half term’s coming up, so get the family together in The Boardroom.

There are two SHUFL shuffleboard tables and three FLYBY darts boards, so the kids can take on the grown-ups and you can settle who’s actually the best in the family. It works for birthdays, catch-ups with the cousins, or getting everyone out of the house for an afternoon.

There’s always food from all the kitchens and drinks from the bar!

Here’s what’s on at Yalm for the rest of October.

Weekend DJs in the bar, Sunday jazz, drag bingo, and Zane’s Boardroom Battle: a new game show night with quiz rounds, shuffleboard and darts. There’s also a candle-making night with cocktails, our monthly quiz with Papa Mombassa, and a potions workshop to keep the kids busy over half term.

THURSDAY 15TH OCTOBER!

Zane’s Boardroom Battle is coming to Yalm.

A 90-minute live game show in The Boardroom, with quiz rounds, ridiculous challenges, SHUFL shuffleboard and FLYBY darts. Expect it to get competitive, and a bit chaotic.

Think fast, play hard, and grab some food from the kitchens and a drink from the bar between rounds.

Roost lands at Yalm tomorrow 🐔

From Wednesday 7th October, Norfolk-based Roost Rotisserie takes over our pop-up kitchen, and the brand-new rotisserie oven is already in place.

Roost launched in 2025 with one simple aim: to do rotisserie chicken really, really well. It’s run by Daniel ‘DJ’ Clare and Benedict Hemmens, two familiar faces from Norfolk’s food scene who’ve cooked at Farmyard, The Ingham Swan, The Wildebeest, Stoke Mill, Woolf & Social and The Bicycle Shop.

They’re using Gressingham free-range, corn-fed chicken, freshly cooked on the rotisserie every day. Expect whole birds, half birds, house-made sauces and chicken-fat new potatoes, plus wraps, wings and plenty of sides.

Come by tomorrow and watch the chickens turning while you wait.
