Part time counter/service assistant required to work in a busy fish & chip stall at Norwich Market.

Applicants are required to be flexible with working days, available & prepared to also work Saturdays & to work five hours each day.

The ability to work efficiently & quickly
under pressure would be a positive advantage to the applicant as would good mental maths skills.

They should be polite & friendly with good communication skills with all people & are required to be a good time keeper, punctual & very reliable.

A food hygiene certificate or relevant training would be preferable.

Duties will include serving customer orders, processing cash & payment card transactions, end of day cleaning & checks & the replenishing of stock.

Minimum and maximum salary will depend on the national minimum wage for you.

A young couple in Norwich recently lost everything they had in a devastating fire that has meant them and their kitten have had to find somewhere else to sleep for a few weeks with very few clothes. It is with regret that due to the lockdown and continuing rise of cases in Norwich, we have made the decision to close temporarily from tomorrow. For everyone’s safety, we feel we must do this in order to play our part in the current situation.

We will review this each week until the situation improves and cases fall to a safer level.

We will post further information on this page about when we plan to reopen.

Hello everyone, hope you’re all doing well and staying safe. Just to let you all know, we are reopening Tuesday 26th May, so next Tuesday, from our normal time. We will be putting safety measures into place to ensure yours and our safety. This includes a screen up at the counter and for the first time we will be accepting contactless and card payments in order to ensure safety in this difficult time. We look forward to welcoming you back and providing a safe service so you can still enjoy fish and chips throughout this time!

Good evening, we hope you are well and staying safe throughout this difficult time. As you may be aware, we shut our stall at the beginning of lockdown. We are still not sure of when we will be able to reopen, but we are keeping up to date with the news and updates from the PM, so we will post again when we know we can reopen. Until then, stay safe and keep thinking of having those delicious chips again 😋 🍟
