Place UK are a British food manufacturer, specialising in a wide range of areas from manufacturing and co-packing to supplying the highest quality fresh and frozen fruit ingredients. We also offer a range of bespoke solutions to food manufacturers and retailers. Our Products are unique, as they are ready-to-eat the moment they are in your hands, requiring no further processing or input from yourself. This is because each product is individually quick frozen (IQF), which means we quickly freeze each piece of product. Ensuring that products such as pasta, rice and fruit keep their shape and colour, giving you the purest form possible unlike the commonly used method of block freezing. This creates a perfect free-flowing addition for your final product.

Last week, our team came together to celebrate everything that has happened over the last quarter for our business, as well as the people who make it special. 🙌

Our Quarterly Business Review, led by our Co-Managing Directors Matt Smith and Linda Evans, is always a great chance for us to reflect on how far we have come. It also lets us look ahead to what is next and recognise the hard work that goes on behind the scenes at Place UK.

💚During the review, we also held our Make a Difference Awards. They are employee-nominated awards that celebrate the people living out our values every day, whether that is through pride in what we do, leadership, accountability, caring for our colleagues and community, or environmental sustainability.

A huge congratulations to everyone who was nominated this quarter: Ernestas Nadvaravicius, Jessica Bond, Simon Waite, Veronika Fodchenko, Georgi Yochkov, Kat Reed, John Royal, Olha Trofymets, Simona Atipova, and Alit Yakubov.

And a special congratulations to our winner: Marian Stroilescu, who was nominated for being a clear example of dedication, passion, and drive for the company's success. He successfully managed his duties while caring for his newborn babies and refused to leave the team or the season at risk. He completed the cherry campaign, delivering ashtonishing results.

Thank you to everyone who came along, and to the whole Place UK team for another quarter of hard work and dedication.

This year, we are celebrating our roots, with 100 years of family farming on our Norfolk ground. 🙌 It all started in the 1920's when Frank Place came home from the First World War, and in 1926, he bought Church Farm.

A lot has changed over the years: the poly-tunnels, the factories, the freezing, the reservoirs. But the thing we are proudest of hasn't: family at the core of this business and this farm.

💚And it is not only ours, but the generations of families who picked fruit in these fields; everyone who worked a season here, drove a tractor here, or came and filled a basket on a pick-your-own fruit day.

Four generations in, we're still here. Still growing. 🌱

What a weekend! ⚽💚

Our seasonal team came together for a football competition this weekend, and what amazing energy it had! All the way through to the final match, the enthusiasm on and off the pitch showed exactly what makes our team so special.

🏆A HUGE congratulations to Kenya All Stars for taking home the win! And to the runner ups Tajikistan!

Here at Place UK, we take pride in bringing our team together for days like this, because a strong team isn't just built through work, but it is built on moments like these too.

Last Saturday, over 60 members of our amazing team enjoyed a fantastic day out in London! ☀️

They spent the day exploring Trafalgar Square, taking a boat trip along the River Thames, and visiting Buckingham Palace. It was a great day filled with sightseeing in the sunshine.

A huge thank you to our Welfare Team for organising such a brilliant trip. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying themselves and spending time together outside of work. 💚🌱

Last week, our Wellbeing Team hosted a healthy breakfast to help kickstart the day for our colleagues. 🍎

As we reach the peak of our fresh season, our teams are working incredibly hard, and during busy periods it can be easy for healthy habits, like making time for breakfast, to slip.

💚A nutritious breakfast provides the energy and nutrients needed to take on the day ahead, making it an important part of supporting overall wellbeing.

Looking after our colleagues is a priority for us, and we're grateful to our Wellbeing Team for organising initiatives like these that help our teams feel their best.

Over the weekend, our Packhouse team came together to celebrate the dedication and teamwork that has made the first half of our fresh season such a success. 🙌

🍓With over 500,000 punnets packed every week during our busiest period, it is all hands on deck, and we are incredibly proud of what we have achieved together.

Over the last weekend, our fabulous team participated in our annual table tennis competition. With 24 enthusiastic participants, the energy was unmissable, and each match was a thrill to watch. 🏓🙌

A HUGE congratulations to Assilkhan, who took victory as our 2026 winner, and to Preslev, who secured the runner-up spot after a fantastic final performance.

💚It was great to see everyone come together, and a big thank you to everyone who took part. We can't wait to do it all again next year.
