Our Sales Manager, Ian, headed over to Rowells Drinking Emporium to congratulate the team on winning our Over the Bar – Win a Brew Day Competition for our Direct Free Trade customers! 🎉

We’re now looking forward to spending the day with the Rowells team, experiencing the brewing process and creating a special beer made just for their pub. 🍺

We also can’t wait to pop back down to Rowells, raise a glass and see their brew being served over the bar! 🍻

It's always great to put a face to a name, so we'd like to introduce the newest member of our sales team - Jon Harris! If you give us a call to place an order, there's a good chance Jon will be the friendly voice at the other end of the phone.

How long have you worked at Castle Rock? " I worked at Lincolnshire Poacher for twelve years and at Vat and Fiddle for two, so fourteen years in total."

What's the most rewarding part of your job? " Building relationships and forging links with the community at large."

Do you have any hobbies? "Model railways, music (playing and listening), reading, hillwalking, shooting, alcohol appreciation, stamp collecting."

What's your favourite drink? "Alcoholic = Screech Owl - non-alcoholic = flat white."

What's one fun fact about you that people don't know? "I once met Michael Stipe, of REM, and he gave me one of his Worcester sauce flavour Wheat Crunchies!".

🍻Featured Stockist - The Pickled Pig in Stafford 🍻

Lucy - our West Midlands sales rep was joined our sales manager - Ian on a recent visit to the award-winning The Pickled Pig At The Bank House in Stafford, run by Scott and his wife Sarah.

The couple had been frustrated by trying to find somewhere that served a decent pint of beer and a quality glass of wine locally. They decided to turn The Bankhouse in Stafford into a beautiful pub that provides both, and more, in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

Already recognised by CAMRA as Heart of Staffordshire Urban Pub of the Year 2026, The Pickled Pig puts on live acoustic music every Friday and has a simple food offering which includes loaded stone baked pizzas. Oh, and they serve a cracking pint of Harvest Pale to boot! Definitely one to visit!
