🚛 Three more additions to the fleet!

We have recently taken delivery of three new DAF XG lorries, freshly branded in our anniversary livery to mark 125 years of Hammond farming. 🌾

These latest additions keep our produce moving across the country and represent another proud milestone for the business as we continue to grow and invest in the future.

They also bring a fitting close to our year of celebrating 125 years in farming. A journey made possible by the hard work of our team, the support of our customers, and generations of dedication to British agriculture.

Harvesting beetroot that’s been stored the natural way.

Throughout winter, our beetroot stays safely in the ground, protected from frost by our sandy, free-draining soil. This traditional method helps keep the crop in excellent condition until it’s needed.

We’re now lifting the beetroot, grading it into sizes, and getting it ready for delivery to our customers.

The BBC joined us in the field to see firsthand how relentless rainfall is impacting our harvest this season.

What they saw here reflects a much bigger story. Farms across the country are facing extremely tough conditions — tight weather windows, challenging ground, and constant pressure to keep moving.

It’s important to show both the successes and the hurdles British farming faces. Because while the challenges are real, so is the resilience.

Despite one of the most testing seasons in recent memory, we remain committed to delivering quality British produce to shelves across the UK.

This is our story — but it’s a national one too.
