Nottingham Craft Beer Festival is today and do we have a cider board for you.

The physical and design qualities of the board aside (JD, see us after class), the contents are immense.

We've gone hard on the local focus, bringing you the finest cider, perry and pyder from the East Midlands Real Cider & Perry Producers.

In addition to two of our own ciders, we've got Cidentro, Blue Barrel Cider Langar Cider Charnwood Cider St Ann's Cider Club, Three Cats Cider, MonkeyBridge and Quorn House.

Every one of these cider makers are award winners and we've chosen our favourites for you this weekend.

We also have cider icepoles in at 4%, regular cider or cider and black. Classy.

We're heading down shortly to set up and, later, we'll see you at the Bar!

When Hannah says she needs about 30 litres of cider for an idea, you get her about 30 litres of cider.

Nottingham Craft Beer Festival is shaping up to be a hot one so lets just say Hannah's idea is very cool.

New Cider Alert!

Thanks to a bumper 2024 crop, its been a while since we had a proper new cider available but now we do and here it is baby!

Sneinton Forever! is our new scrumpy style traditional cider and is 100% Sneinton grown. That is a promise that we've only used apples grown on the allotments and gardens in Sneinton. No St Anns, no Colwick; even Bakersfield didn't get a look in.

And because we know that the apples we used are all from Sneinton, that means that with every pint theres a chance you'll be drinking juice pressed from the legendary Badger Killer!

Immortalised in this top tier bit of art (don't worry, regular Stuart Brown-lazer Bell art will resume soon): the Badger Killer was a massive cooking apple that fell out of a tree, cracked Badger right in the face, gave him a black eye and knocked him out cold!

The perils of cider making eh?

Fortunately, both Badger and the apple were fine with at least one of them being chucked into the press to make this damn fine cider.

You can really taste the violence.

So where can you get it?

Easy! This one is going to be exclusive to The King Billy, Nottingham as part of our new collab series.

The Billy, as you know, is our spiritual and one time literal home so we jumped at the chance to make a cider just for them. We're delivering it Thursday so keep an eye out for it.

That said, we did also nick a BiB for Nottingham Craft Beer Festival happening this Friday so if you're heading over that way make sure to stop by and get some of this slurped.

What a view! We were over at Three Cats Cidery this weekend, one of the cornerstone East Midlands Real Cider & Perry Producers and a really lovely chap.

As Nottingham Craft Beer Festival approaches we did a bit of a cider swap.

Look out for Three Cats Kingston Black Single Variety Cider on our bar and if you're popping by the Belper Goes Green cider bar; our New Season Somerset Redstreak/HMJ blend 'Red October' will be available all weekend.

Now, how to justify buying a lamb for the new cidery...

Is a lovely sunny day and we are at one of our favourite places: Summerwood Community Garden!

The orchard needs a little TLC so our job today is to work out what needs doing and get started.

This weather is great for clearing and shifting brambles. After harvest, we'll come back and do some serious pruning to keep these trees happy and productive for years to come.

Happy Bank Holiday to you dudes - we hope you're sufficiently hungover and/or plan on skulking off to a pub or BBQ at some point today.

We've been spring cleaning the new cider shed and tasting the 2025 harvest - yeah, you're going to like the new stuff we have coming.

We still owe you a proper update on whats been going on over the last nine months or so and we'll *incoherent rambling* five dollars for a pretzel? Get outta here!
