What. A. Weekend!!! We had such a great time Nottingham Craft Beer getting to hang out with old friends, sling beers in the sunshine and celebrate to amazing beer scene in our city!! Thanks to everyone who came down for a pint! 🥳🍻☀️
Despite all the weekends fun, we are back in the brewery with two fresh beers dropping on our mailer this morning. It’s the return of Ngaru Iti and Ngaru Nui, our single hopped NZ pales, each one highlighting a specific NZ hop. Ngaru Iti is our super sessionable 3.4% NZ Pale hopped entirely with Motueka for that signature lime, slight tropical, grassy finish. Ngaru Nui 6.0% IPA is all Nelson Sauvin for pure passionfruit, white grape and a touch of gooseberry. These beers are also a showcase of Eggers Hops who have constantly delivered some of the best tasting hops we’ve come across. 🖤🐦‍⬛💣WHERE MAGPIES DARE💣🐦‍⬛🖤
With Nottingham Craft Beer just around the corner, we best pull our finger out and introduce you to our latest beers being launched at the festival!! So here we have Where Magpies Dare 10% TIPA!!! 🖤🍻🤘
Back in the tail end of July, we had the pleasure of inviting local heroes over to brew a beer. And not just any beer. A great big f**k off TIPA with the highest hop bill we’ve put in a beer to date. Using a myriad of hop products and tweaking our process over several years, we are super proud of this beer. The hop journey starts with Mosaic Dynaboost in the copper and then continues with Strata CGX and Idaho 7 T90 at pitch in FV. Then in CT we added Mosaic Hyperboost and Strata and Azzaca T90. Big sticky pineapple up front that gives way to juicy stone fruit and ends with a creamy mouthfeel with hints of vanilla. 💣🍍🍑🤘

🌳🐦‍⬛🍻CAGE THE CUCKOO🍻🐦‍⬛🌳
Red hot May has made way for cooler June but don’t despair, we have a host of brand new beers available this week so let’s get on with showing you what we’ve got. First up is Cage The Cuckoo 4.4% Golden Ale 💛🌾🐦‍⬛
This beer takes its name from The Wise Men Of Gotham, who feigned idiocy to prevent a Royal visit and therefore avoid the payment of taxes. One of the acts was to fence a cuckoo into a bush to preserve springtime. This beer is a celebration of British summertime. Maris Otter barley and mashed with Torrified Wheat for a delicious malty, bready backbone, golden in colour and sweet in flavour. To this we add in all English hop varieties, all from whose Challenger in the boil for bitterness and East Kent Goldings at flame out, bring plenty of herbal, spicy, light floral notes. A classic formula for full bodied pales with rounded bitterness. Modest, refined, and drinkable. 🌾🍻💚

💚🌳🐦‍⬛FOREST MAGIC🐦‍⬛🌳💚
May has seen one of the busiest months we’ve ever had as a brewery, with a mix of great sales and a record breaking so sometimes you’ve just got to take some time to head into nature and reconnect. But I think I’ve stumbled into a secret Jackdaw meeting so I’ll see what magic I can commune with. Anyway, a massive thank you to all our regulars, customers and drinkers. In uncertain times, it’s great to have such amazing support. We have plenty more things to announce for 2026 inc our 15th Birthday in August. So let’s keep the pedal to the metal!! 💚🌳🐦‍⬛🤘⚔️🍻

After a slightly wet start to the week, the Sun Gods have bestowed some beautiful rays onto the many worshippers for this weekends and we are totally on board!! This year sees us bring an even bigger bar, plenty of cans from our pop up shop and also a tonne of merch. So there’s no reason to go thirsty. Remember stay hydrated and enjoy some killer beers!! 🤘⚡️🍻

🏜️🤘💚DESERTFEST 2026💚🤘🏜️
Well what an unbelievably great weekend!! So many incredible sets, honestly some of the best live experiences I’ve ever had!! Watching headline the Roundhouse felt like watching history being made, blew the roof off the and played one of the greatest pieces of live music I’ve ever seen. Plenty of delicious pints drunk in the legendary and .bigred and the annually longed for visit to Great to see so many pals from the beer world and music world. Already can’t wait for next year!!🤘💚🍻⚔️⚡️🦇🌯

🖤🦇🍻SABBATH MILD🍻🦇🖤
When got in touch with the bonkers idea of commissioning 7 collab milds to launch in May, we honestly couldn’t resist!! Especially when we got to collab with the incredible and theme the beer on Black Fu***ng Sabbath!!! 🤘🦇🖤
For this beer we put together a deliciously complex malt base, Munich malt for a base nuttiness, torrified wheat for head retention, dextrin malt for body and two different crystal malts for deep colour and caramel sweetness. We used only English whole leaf hops in the boil, Challenger and Bramling Cross for those spicy notes and hedgerow berry flavours. All fermented with a high ester yeast. Nostalgia awaits those that imbibe. 💚🍻🤘
Some classic font driven design work from the other Prince of Darkness this beer is mainly available through but a very small amount of stock will be in tomorrow’s mailer in 9G cask and 20L keykeg. Don’t sleep on this one, it’ll be gone in a flash. Cheers 🍻 🦇🖤🤘

For this week’s Saturday Vinyl we’ve got something pretty special. To get me hyped up for next weekend, I’m spinning my brand new 20th Anniversary rerelease of Age Of Winters by ⚔️💙🌬️
The Sword are one of my absolute favourite bands, a band I thought I’d never see live. So when I saw them on the line up for Desertfest this year I was beyond ecstatic!! So many riffs, so much chug, some phenomenal guitar work, this album is a stone cold classic. My kids are currently getting a very loud Saturday morning education!! 🤣⚔️💙

have been on heavy rotation on the Black Iris playlist since discovering them a few years ago. It was amazing to see them at last year with an unbelievable set of blasting post rock!! 🤘 🍻⚡️
For the beer, we have jam packed this beer full of delicious zingy raspberry. This is a full on sour, proper jawbreaker territory, high acidity and clean juiciness. The coconut adds a roundness to the body and tropical dynamic that builds as you drink through the beer. Perfect beer for these amazing sunny weekends!! 💖☀️🍻
