We're absolutely thrilled to be a FINALIST for Dog Friendly Venue at the Leicestershire Tourism & Hospitality Awards 2026!

We love our four-legged visitors just as much as our two-legged ones! Muddy paws, wagging tails and a warm welcome are all part of what makes our pub special.

And just like that, another Nottingham CAMRA B**r & C***r Festival comes to an end! 🍻💙

What an incredible week it’s been! From catching up with familiar faces to meeting plenty of new ones, it’s been an absolute pleasure welcoming you all to the Blue Monkey bar. Whether you popped by for your favourite pint, tried something new or just stopped for a chat, we really do appreciate every single one of you!

A massive thank you also goes to everyone who supported Our Dementia Choir with Vicky McClure by making a donation for one of our famous blue trilby hats or Blue Monkey tattoos! 💙 Your generosity means so much, and it’s lovely to see so many people getting behind such a wonderful cause.

We’d also like to say a huge thank you to Nottingham CAMRA and everyone at Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club for putting on another fantastic event. The hard work that goes into making this festival happen certainly doesn’t go unnoticed, and we’re grateful to have been part of it once again!

Our Castle B**r Festival up in lights Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club today! Roll on May…

We might be busy planning Castle B**r Fest for May next year, but this weekend we’re all about supporting the fantastic CAMRA Nottingham B**r & C***r Festival at Trent Bridge.

And we have to admit, it was pretty exciting seeing Castle B**r Fest up in bright lights on the pitch! Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club thank you!

So many of the brilliant independent breweries you’ll find at the Castle in May are at Trent Bridge right now, pouring the good stuff. Because we might all run our own events, brew our own b**r and do things our own way, but ultimately we’re all here for the same thing: great independent b**r.
