Latest cake, was given a brief of elegant and a little bit extravagant, so came up with this.

As a self taught hobby baker and cake decorator i always want to try something different and try and utilise some of the skills I’ve learnt over the years and to learn new things.
This four tier cake consists of a 10” & 6” with 3 layers of lemon sponge in each, lemon buttercream and lemon curd, covered in white chocolate ganache and white fondant.
The 8” & 4” consists of 3 layers of raspberry sponge in each, raspberry buttercream and raspberry jam, covered in white chocolate ganache and white fondant.
The simple but challenging sails/fans or napkin style (people had different thoughts what they are) are edible made from white modelling fondant and tipped off with gold petal dust liquid. Really pleased with the outcome and fitted in well with the wedding theme and venue.
