AND THE NEW!!!!

The most recent World Quiz Championship took place at THE GENEROUS BRITON in Costock on Tuesday 26th May.

Here's how the NEW World Champions took their title....

Before we started, huge congratulations were given to Izzy, Phil and George following Notts County's promotion to League One. They were interviewed by BBC Radio Nottingham outside Wembley Stadium prior to the play off final. If you'd like to listen to them you'll find it below:

They were down to the bare minimum of two players and really lost their chance when round 3 delivered only 5 points. They'll be back to full strength next week and heading back towards the podium

Following their debut two weeks ago this team is learning the ropes and improving slowly...but improving!

They made a terrific start but couldn't quite hold on this week. I guarantee that this is a temporary blip. They'll be competing for gold next week

Following their bronze medal last time out Sausage made another impressive showing but never completely recovered from a relatively poor first round

A strong showing from this weakened team....and they had the huge compensation of winning "sticky 13" so went home with a smile

THE KENNEDY ASSASSINATION
In joint first after 5 rounds The Kennedy's produced a spectacular round 6 to take their first title for a while.
However...it wasn't all good news.
They drew tile 1 and won nothing

BUT
THEIR GOLD MEDALS CAN NEVER BE TAKEN AWAY. THAT'S WHAT GLORY GIVES YOU...
