We use British eggs in all our pubs 🇬🇧🥚

We know people are understandably a little nervous about where their eggs come from at the moment, so we wanted to reassure you that all the eggs we use are British and Lion Stamped. 👌

And, of course, we’re always happy to cook your eggs to how you like them, so if you don’t want a runny yolk, we’ll make sure it’s served firm. 🍳

A few snaps from a recent trial with Pipeline Organics – trying to reduce our environmental impact through new clean tech. We’re calling this the “briefcase rig” – a small assembly of biofuel cells set up on a bench top and using microbes to clean our wastewater. 💧

We tested this for 24 hours on site, and a week in Pipeline Organics. In this trial, we managed to achieve 85% cleaner water. If we can recreate this at scale, we’re looking at averting as much as 45 tonnes of CO2e per year through methane savings and averted water treatment. (Not to mention up to 75% savings on water treatment!)

Following this scorching summer, drought has left the herd of around 200 deer at Wollaton Park struggling for food. 🦌

Alongside Blue Monkey Brewery, Shipstone's, and Lincoln Green Brewing Company, we have helped come to a sustainable solution by providing our spent grain, leftover from the brewing process! ♻️

This is a great example of independent breweries coming together to do good. In May 2027, we’ll be teaming up again to bring you round 3 of Castle Beer Festival ! 🍻🎉

It's always great to put a face to a name, so we'd like to introduce the newest member of our sales team - Jon Harris! If you give us a call to place an order, there's a good chance Jon will be the friendly voice at the other end of the phone.

How long have you worked at Castle Rock? " I worked at Lincolnshire Poacher for twelve years and at Vat and Fiddle for two, so fourteen years in total."

What's the most rewarding part of your job? " Building relationships and forging links with the community at large."

Do you have any hobbies? "Model railways, music (playing and listening), reading, hillwalking, shooting, alcohol appreciation, stamp collecting."

What's your favourite drink? "Alcoholic = Screech Owl - non-alcoholic = flat white."

What's one fun fact about you that people don't know? "I once met Michael Stipe, of REM, and he gave me one of his Worcester sauce flavour Wheat Crunchies!".
