It is so sad that Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President, was laughing when President Bola Ahmed Tinubu argued that the PDP was responsible for the hunger, hardship, scarcity and insecurity in the country.

After the APC has been in power for almost 12 years, how can the government still blame the PDP for the problems Nigerians are facing today?

What made it even more interesting to me was seeing Godswill Akpabio laughing while Tinubu was making that argument. Does he not remember how many years he spent in the PDP before joining the APC?

There are growing reports and allegations of political pressure, inducements, and possible threats being used to encourage politicians to defect to the APC. Whether every claim is ultimately proven or not, supporters of democratic governance should remain calm, vigilant, and committed to peaceful civic participation.

If politicians cross over, our commitment to good governance should not cross over with them.

The work continues.

We must keep educating ourselves, engaging our communities, discussing the issues, supporting peaceful democratic participation, and encouraging Nigerians to make informed choices based on policies, character, accountability, and the future of the country.

The way Christianity is practiced in Nigeria is, to me, very different from the way it is practiced in many other places. Sometimes, it looks too transactional, where people depend heavily on prayer but not enough on action.

Nigeria needs to wake up.

We need to understand that prayer is important, but prayer should be accompanied by action. The Bible teaches us that there is a time for everything.
