Welcome to The Cakery! My name is Chi, I'm a Vietnamese national born in Hue city, now living in Nottingham with my husband. Baking is one of my greatest passions and I always enjoy spending hours in the kitchen experimenting with flour, sugar and eggs! To me, design is as important as taste, therefore I strive to create delicious yet beautiful cakes, cupcakes and cookies. Hi everyone, it has been a while since my last post. I hope you are all doing well!

My daughter started school last September and I found it hard to juggle school drop off/pick up, looking after my second baby, and making cakes. This was the reason I decided to take a break from taking orders even though I have received many DMs and enquiries. I can’t express how much I appreciate your support especially the returning customers during the last few months. I do hope to come back in the future when the girls are older and I have more time 🤍

I still enjoy baking a lot so instead of closing this page I will use it as a space to post some sweet treats I made for family and friends 🧁

Hey guys,

I’m finally back after maternity leave, I hope you’re all doing well!

I haven’t been active on social media much the last few months, however thankfully I still recieved many enquiries for cakes, some of which I managed to fulfil while my baby was napping; they were very much appreciated! ☺️

I haven’t really increased my prices since I started making cakes, however due to the huge rise in the cost of ingredients and energy bills in the previous year(s), the new prices are now:

- £45 for 6 inch cakes
- £60 for 8 inch cakes
- £28 for 12 cupcakes

My cakes have always been made from free range eggs and quality ingredients, and If I’m going to continue making them I don’t want to make any compromises in freshness or taste, therefore the new pricing has to reflect this which I hope you all understand.

On a more positive note, as a thank you for everyone’s loyalty and support I’d like to offer 10% off any order placed in June. Please send me a DM or message me on Facebook to discuss.
