The Florists' Table // flowersonthe.edge

A bit of a pinch me moment this week collaborating with Joanna Game during British Flowers Week at the flowersonthe.edge fringe exhibition in Hackney.

Truthfully, I'm still processing Thursday and all the people we met, the brilliant designers that we shared the space with, and the conversations had over a love of plants.

A huge thank you to Cissy & Liv, Cissy - Wildstems & Wetherly. for organising the event, curating the space, for your sheer joy and energy, and enabling so many like minded people to come together in an often isolating industry.

Thank you for asking me to design and build this table with you, Jo. I loved every minute!

Overwhelmed (in the best way) by all of the really lovely messages I've received about our work for The this week at RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

Flora & Lewis, thank you for your trust again this year, and a huge congratulations on your 5⭐ stand! I feel very lucky to have been a part of it.

This duo is truly impressive, moving seamlessly from one major show to another while managing an e-commerce, a shop in Chagford, a farm, and a workshop. I deeply admire their energy.

They leave the floral arrangements to me and where I'm feeling seasonally inspired. It is incredibly rewarding to be entrusted with their brand at such an event, and hearing that Flora & Lewis love the work is truly enough of a reward.

This year I wanted to reflect the meadows, and truthfully have fallen a little in love with yellow.

Thank you to the growers who I sourced flowers from to make this happen.

And lastly thank you for taking time out of your day on Monday to take pictures of the stand in the daylight. Photos 14-17 💛

A quiet little obsession taking place in the form of a small pot garden outside my front door.

Erythronium 'Joanna' and epimedium 'domino' are taking the spotlight this week.

April, 6/12

When planning the April install, we settled on two defining April features that make us both twitch with joy. For us, it's leaf burst, and all the pockets of explosive colour.

It's the first time we've turned to face the 12th century font during this project, focusing on a gently scrambling arrangement finished in that favourite leaf burst and the most perfect stem of Akebia from the lovely Phoebe.

Barn swallows, good blooms, perfect light and a few hours to switch off in the most beautiful spot. Lucky.

Buttercream, plum, and gold. A palette I haven't stopped thinking about for the past week.

A quick sweep of the tunnels found a soft yellow Icelandic poppy and the first of the sweet peas, too. Not strictly within the palette, but added anyway because I can't resist the frills.
