Porky Wrights update. As you know we have branched out to Hog Roast Catering but we are still supplying our rare breed pork and sausages. We have had a temporary glitch as our fantastic butcher / sausage maker has now retired. We breed our own Middle White pigs and buy in other rare breed weaners locally.
We have now found a replacement butcher and sausage maker that is equally fantastic!
So we now have in stock more sausages and a selection of delicious pork cuts from some Large Black pigs
Sausages are Sage and Red Onion, Leek and Cayenne Pepper, Mango, Lime and Coconut, Sage and Crackled Black Pepper, & Farmhouse
We have had to raise our prices unfortunately.

Sausages are now priced by the kilo @ £10kg
In packs of 6 ! You don't need to buy a kilo.

We have a selection of b***d and rolled loin, shoulder, belly, leg joints.

📍 FRISKNEY VILLAGE SHOW - IMPORTANT INFORMATION 📍

The Village Show is almost here and we can’t wait to welcome you for a brilliant community day out 🎪❤️

To help you plan your visit, here’s everything you need to know ahead of the event.

📅 Sunday 14th June from 10am - Free Entry & Parking (See below for details)
📍 Friskney Village Show, Church Road, Friskney PE22 8RD

🎉 WHAT'S ON:
🛍️ Stallholders & local businesses
🍰 Food court with a variety of stalls
🍺 Bar open from 12pm inside hall
🎟️ Raffle with great prizes
🚜 Vintage vehicles display
🚓 Emergency services & special guests
🏹 Have A Go Archery with Friskney Bowmen (located in back of Car Park on Church Road)
🐾 Online dog show results announced at the show
🎃 Scarecrow festival results
✈️ Flypast (weather and timings permitting)
🎪 Entertainment and activities throughout the day

🚗 PARKING
Free parking is available at two locations:
📍 Church Road
📍 Yawling Gate Road
📍 Disabled Parking located outside the village hall.
Please follow signage and marshal instructions on arrival.

‼️ PARKING REMINDER
Please respect local residents and avoid parking on surrounding roads near the event. This helps keep access clear for emergency vehicles and ensures a smooth experience for everyone.

💳 PAYMENTS
Most stalls will accept both cash and card payments, but we recommend bringing a mix of both to make the day easier. The raffle will be cash only.

🐶 DOGS
Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a short lead at all times. Don't forget your poo bags, and make sure you clean up after your dog during your visit. Committee members will also have emergency poo bags available if needed on the day.

🌦️ WEATHER
As this is an outdoor event, please dress appropriately for the conditions on the day and be prepared for typical British weather.

🚻 FACILITIES
Toilets will be available on site and inside the village hall.
Please keep the field tidy and place rubbish in the bins provided around the show ground.

All pretty much set up for the Carrington Show. The pig will start cooking shortly for a good long cook. George is camping overnight to keep an eye over the cooking. I have opted for my own bed for the night. Pigs to feed in the morning then off to join George.
Why not pop along tomorrow or BH Monday. It's our first year there so looking forward to it.
