JOB VACANCY

Assistant herdsperson - Oswestry, Shropshire
Due to the planned expansion of our dairy herd, we have an opening for an assistant herdsperson. This role would suit someone who is able to work as part of a team but who is also self-motivated. Previous experience is preferred and accommodation can be made available for the right candidate.

The main responsibilities will include:
Milking
Identifying and treating health issues, lameness and youngstock monitoring
Maintaining accurate records (health, treatments, etc.)
Working closely with the wider dairy team
Ensuring high standards of animal welfare, hygiene, and biosecurity

We have an opportunity available for a general farm worker on our dairy unit, just outside of Shrewsbury.
Responsibilities will include:
Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment
Milking (at least once a day)
Assisting with calf rearing
Cleaning cubicle sheds
Tractor work
There is no accommodation currently available with this role, and applicants must hold a valid tractor or full UK driving license.
Although experience is preferred, full training can be provided for someone with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
