A massive thank you to and Charlotte for raising awareness about our campaign and also the importance of giving people a voice for land through community ownership.

Our campaign would not have achieved the success it has without the shared knowledge and learning from Fordhall Farm, who are celebrating their 20th year of community ownership this year.

Hopefully that will be in years to come!

Lambing 2026 commences!

Round the clock checks continue to make sure they get the best start and that the mothers are thriving!

Checks happen regularly throughout the day, assisting when needed.

Our job mainly involves dipping navels with iodine and make sure bellies are full!

We passed our Soil Association inspection today!!! 🥳

Babbinswood Farm has been certified organic since 2002, and we’re proud to say it continues to be so. The inspection is always a thorough process, looking at every aspect of what we do—from organic land management to the production of our milk, beef, lamb, hogget, and mutton, as well as the community garden produce.

We also go through detailed checks on our systems, including mass balance for milk processing, cattle sales, and the flow of vegetables through our organic veg boxes.

It all takes time, dedication, and a real attention to detail year after year to not just meet, but strive to exceed Soil Association standards.

Days like today remind us why it’s all worth it. Even with the uncertainty and everything happening as we work to save Babbinswood Farm, it’s incredibly rewarding to see our hard work recognised. We’re especially proud of the lovely feedback about the health of our animals and the land.

A very proud day for us all at the farm.
