Hello all pumpkin pickers! 🎃Before I let another week of November roll by, I must do our little farewell of the 2025 patch.
We can’t thank everyone enough for supporting our first year of Oxenhope Pumpkin Patch, we were blown away week by week the amount of you who turned up and hopefully had a great time!
We couldn’t have done it without the help of our family behind the scenes, particularly Matthew’s parents who tended to the patch through the year whilst we were both at our day jobs, and then for both sides of grandparents kicking in for childcare duties on patch days making our lives a lot easier 🧡
Our roundup since our sell out Saturday in October, we disappeared off for a quiet night away in Lytham for a change of scenery after 4 hectic weekends & our little Violet had the best day at the zoo. We found out we’re expecting another little pink person in 2026, so obviously I photographed the pinkest squash I had left & then turned it in to a celebratory soup 🤣🩷 our sheep have gone on to the patch and nibbled away at what was left. We will now let everything degrade back into the field and add any goodness it can for next year. We also have jars of dried seeds so far, with more yet to come. My windowsill display is dwindling!🫙
Thankyou to for joining us over the weekends and making the patch pickers a little warmer & fuller inside 🧡🧡🧡☕️ thankyou to Kim's Funky Faces for her amazing artwork on our last day 🏳️🌈
We are so excited for 2026, the worry is as always in the weather. We will do our best to grow an amazing patch of pumpkins, we have learnt a lot and got new ideas to try next year. We are not about bigger & better, we quite like being abit rustic, so here’s to a good summer in 2026, and hopefully see you in October 😍🎃
Follow our journey as we prepare and plant the patch next year and take you along with us 🧡 👀
