Last Thursday, Sandra and Dido had the pleasure of catering the Oxfordshire Community Foundation Summer Celebration at the stunning Broughton Castle. ✨

The brief was simple: elegant canapés.
We think it's safe to say we delivered!
From beautiful presentation to delicious flavours, it was an honour to help make such a special evening memorable.

This event was particularly meaningful for us because Oxfordshire Community Foundation has been an incredible supporter of Waste2Taste since 2020. The funding we have received over the years has helped us deliver vital community projects and, quite simply, Waste2Taste would not have survived without that support.

As a social enterprise, every catering order does more than provide fantastic food. Every pound of profit is reinvested directly back into our community programmes, helping us tackle food waste, support vulnerable people, and create opportunities for those who need them most.

Happening this Friday! Our Community Day 🫶

We will open our café doors at 9.30am as usual, serving breakfast, drinks, cake and snacks

At 10.30 we'll be hosting a beaded jewellery workshop where you can make yourself a pretty necklace or pair of earrings - free to attend, open to all and with all materials provided!

Then from 12pm we'll be serving our Community Meal, around a big table with other members of our community, for a day of breaking bread, making new friends, and sharing stories.

The lunch is offered on a pay-as-you-feel basis: make a donation if you can, have it for free if you need. Food served between 12-2pm.

The Waste2Taste community café is on the ground floor of the Shotover View BPHA Centre on Craufurd road OX4 2SQ and open to everyone, Tuesday till Friday 9.30am-2.30pm

Now taking bookings for our next workshop, when we'll learn how to make focaccia with our dear friend !

Hannah Bironzo founded The Gypsy Baker sourdough workshops during the 2020 lockdown, beginning with Zoom sessions teaching friends how to bake sourdough loaves and care for their own starter. Within weeks, the project had grown into a thriving community of bakers across the UK and beyond - bringing connection, nourishment, and joy during uncertain times.

At Waste2Taste, Hannah invites you to join a soulful _introduction to sourdough_ workshop where you’ll learn to make delicious Italian sourdough focaccia using her beloved starter, _Alessandra_ (who comes with a story of her own!).

You’ll shape and decorate your focaccia, enjoy tasting it together during the session, and leave with your own jar of starter, practical sourdough knowledge, and a smile on your face.

Join us on Friday 12 June, from 10am till 12pm, here at our community café on Craufurd road OX4 2SQ, on the ground floor of the Shotover View BPHA Centre.

As usual the session is free to attend and we'll provide all ingredients and tools, but we have only 10 spaces available so booking your place early is crucial!

Welcome back everyone! How was your Bank Holiday weekend? And how are you coping with the heatwave?

Our garden is looking lush with all the flowers in bloom, and most tables are not in direct sunlight, so why not have lunch outside today?

Or maybe just an iced coffee. Perhaps a piece of cake?

It's half term so we are doing free meals for kids as usual, and the weather will be marvellous all week, so we hope to see you soon!
