Bruichladdich - Classic Laddie 10 year old.

50%abv
Unchill filtered - natural colour.

Initial Nose :

First met with green apple into icing sugar, a layer of crushed flower petals into a sugar dognut note.

Mouth feel :

Medium viscosity.

First Palate :

At 50%abv it's fairly well rounded, you're met with lime leaf, flecks of white pepper, Vanilla cream and green apple in unison.

Second Nose :

Developing into grassy notes tied with woodiness undertones, almost a slight honeyed cereal not creeping in.

Second Palate :

With added water you're met with a more slight fruitiness open to vanilla and peach cream. The lime and apple still present with a subtle layer of wood in the background.

Finish / After breath :

Medium finish, has a sweet vanilla and green apple play out.
Not too complex but pleasant.

Preferring this to the Classic Laddie of a few years back, this is a very spirit driven 10 year, not complex but a very good go to whisky for gatherings after some top shelf special Scotch.
