I don’t think this one needs a long caption.

Just Nadine and Gareth, still in their wedding clothes and in the middle of celebrating, giving the food a “10 out of 10”.

Saturday was a beautiful village hall wedding—personal, joyful and filled with very well-fed guests.

Thank you both for choosing Tikka & Tadka, and for making my whole team smile with this. ❤️

A little first for Tikka & Tadka… ❤️

After six years of cooking for weddings, setting up buffets, plating hundreds of canapés and generally spending most wedding days somewhere behind the scenes, I’m finally going to my first Wedding Fair! 😄

And it feels rather lovely that it’s at Worton Hall — a venue where we’ve already had the pleasure of catering a beautiful wedding.

So on 17th September, I’ll be swapping the kitchen for a stand (although obviously there will still be food involved 😂).

If you’re planning your wedding, come and say hello, have a little taste of what we do and chat to me about the food you’d really like to eat on your wedding day — whether that’s a big Indian feast, canapés and street food, a completely vegan menu, or something created especially for you.

And if a wedding is on the horizon for you, book your tickets for the fair and come and find us — I’d love to hear what you’re planning. ❤️Ticket links in the bio

A taco at an Indian wedding? Absolutely.

These chicken tikka tacos were served during Priya and Dan’s wedding celebrations—crisp shells, spiced chicken, chutney, fresh toppings and plenty of colour.

I love creating wedding menus that stay true to Indian flavours without insisting they must always arrive in the expected form.

Would these make it onto your canapé menu?Let us know in the comments.

I always photograph the dining room before the guests arrive.

Every chair is straight, every glass untouched and the tables look almost too perfect to disturb.

A few hours later, Arunima and Alastair’s vegan feast was being passed around the room—dal, dum aloo, gobi mattar, kanch kolar kofta, rice and naan travelling from one guest to another.

The first photograph is beautiful.

But the second one is what we came for.

The photographer asked me to look up.

Apparently, I managed it for exactly one photograph. 😂

This was midway through assembling rows and rows of samosa chaat for Priya and Dan’s Mehendi. Weddings look wonderfully calm once the food reaches the guests.

Behind that moment: chutneys, garnishes, timings, a very focused team—and me trying not to lose count.

I did go straight back to the chaat.

Sometimes the best way to explain what we do is to let our couples do the talking. ❤️

This was filmed at the end of Friday’s wedding, after the food had been served and the celebrations were well underway. Hearing them describe their experience so warmly—and seeing how happy they were—meant more than I can say.

Thank you both for trusting with such an important part of your day. It was an absolute pleasure to cook for you, your families and your guests.

Planning an Oxfordshire wedding in 2027 and looking for Indian food that feels personal, generous and full of flavour? Please get in touch—I would love to hear about your plans.

After years of working towards this… she’s finally here. ❤️

Meet Sheila. ❤️

Our newest team member.

She’ll be carrying everything from spice boxes and serving platters to wedding feasts and curry boxes, joining us on every adventure from here on.

To most people she’s just a van.

To us, she’s another little milestone, another dream ticked off the list, and another chapter in the Tikka & Tadka story.

Welcome to the family, Sheila.

A huge shoutout to Stuart OX One Branding Co for putting together the branding on the van.

A wedding in a field, a gazebo full of family and friends, colourful bunting — and an Indian buffet at the heart of it all.

Flossie & Oliver chose samosa chaat, matar paneer, dal, aloo gobi, rice and naan for their wedding meal. Relaxed, generous and full of flavour.

Indian food doesn’t only belong in grand wedding venues. It works beautifully for relaxed countryside celebrations too. 🤍

And judging by the number of people who came back for seconds, I think the guests agreed.

There really isn’t a better feeling than hearing these words at the end of a wedding day. ❤️

Flossie & Oliver, thank you for trusting us to be part of such a beautiful celebration. From serving samosa chaat under a countryside gazebo to seeing everyone enjoy the buffet, it was a day we’ll remember for a long time.

Congratulations to you both—we wish you a lifetime of happiness together. 🥂

If you’re planning a 2027 wedding and are looking for authentic Indian catering, we’d love to hear about your plans.
