Sharing a little Easter lunch inspo for you

🧀 Le Cret Gruyère Dauphinoise Potatoes 🧀

Peel and finely slice 5 or 6 decent sized Maris Pipers to pound coin thickness. Finely slice half an onion. Tip both into a roasting tin together with a couple of crushed garlic cloves, salt, pepper, Rosemary and bay leaf. Pour in 300ml single cream and grate in 150g of Gruyère/cheddar.

Mix everything together to combine then press down to compress. Top up with a little boiling veg stock until you can just see the liquid level with the top layer of potatoes. Cover with loads of grated parmesan.

Bake in the oven at 180° for 45 mins or until a sharp knife easily goes through the potatoes.

Delicious!

Exciting news for cheesemakers! 🧀

The 2026 Virtual Cheese Awards are officially open — and this year, Irish cheesemakers are invited to join British producers in the competition.
If you’ve spent months perfecting a make, watching a batch mature, tweaking the texture, waiting for that moment when you cut into it... just know this is your invitation.

The judging is live online and this offers a unique opportunity to hear constructive feedback on your cheese from some of the UK’s most experienced cheese experts.
