Last week our Sustainability Coordinator Kris, and factory operative Dom, had the opportunity to work alongside bears (Nanuq & Malenky 🐻) at Wildwood Devon looking to reduce food waste and get the seal of approval on our salmon!

We are proud to be finding new sustainable ways to reduce waste and do our bit to support the local community and wildlife at the same time♻️🐾

A massive thank you to Lead Keeper Hannah and the team at Wildwood Devon for this opportunity to get face to face with these incredible animals- We can’t wait to give them more tasty treats in the future!🐟

The world famous Brixham fish market.
Every morning the buyers start their day off by going down to the market before it starts to go around and get an idea on quantities and quality of the fish, making sure we get the best there is on the day.

Then they head back to the office and discuss on what to buy and how much, depending on what’s on preorder and average daily sales. This is all before the market officially starts before 6am, which is done online.

This isn’t always plain sailing and some days can be tougher than others, due to it being an auction, prices fluctuate daily, depending on how much has been landed and the demands of other buyers.

Do make sure you are calling and speaking to your account managers early doors to be one of the first to hear about that days landings.
