The Harlequin Tuskfish is one of the most striking and charismatic marine fish in the hobby. Known for its vibrant colours and bold blue teeth, it thrives in large fish-only aquariums with plenty of live rock, hiding places, open swimming space, excellent filtration, and highly oxygenated water.
Despite its fierce appearance, this wrasse is surprisingly gentle and can be bullied by more aggressive tankmates. It is best kept singly, as adults are territorial, and should not be housed with small fish, crustaceans, molluscs, or shrimp, which may be seen as food.
With a great personality, manageable adult size, and stunning appearance, the Harlequin Tuskfish remains one of the most popular and sought-after wrasse species in the marine aquarium trade.

One for the Corydoras et al. fans (They will always be Corys to me!)

Our selection here at Fishkeeper Southwest has expanded this week after a lovely Peru shipment.

Is it possible to have just one favourite Cory species? šŸ¤”

A little ask from us if you think we deserve it.
The Practical Fishkeeping Magazine. Readersā€™ Poll is almost closed.

Iā€™ve been part of Fishkeeper Southwest since the store was still under construction and when we first opened our doors in 2021. Iā€™ve had the privilege of watching it grow and evolve into what it is today. The store has been built with dedication, plenty of passion, an enormous amount of love for all things aquatic and, if weā€™re being honest, a fair bit of sweat and even a few tears along the way!
But looking at the store now, Iā€™m incredibly proud of what weā€™ve built and, more importantly, of the community that has grown around it.
And weā€™re certainly not finished yet. Weā€™ve still got plenty of ideas in the pipeline, and weā€™re excited to see where the next chapter takes us.
So, if youā€™ve visited us, bought from us, had advice from us, chatted fish with us, or simply feel that Fishkeeper Southwest deserves your vote in any of the Readersā€™ Poll categories, weā€™d genuinely appreciate your support.
But only if you believe we deserve it.
There are lots of fantastic fish shops out there, and this is a readersā€™ poll so please vote for the shops you genuinely think deserve recognition.
If that happens to be us, then thank you. It really does mean a lot.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey so far. We wouldnā€™t be where we are today without you.
